I drove a truck leased to Jameson Stromain from Dart Transportation for 2 weeks, rackin up 6000 road miles. This man owes me a total of $946.00 plus reimbursable expenses, (scales, tolls, cell phone, etc), and will not even return my phone calls!
When he got his owner/operator truck report, he was bit&ing to me that Dart ripped him off, by taking all his brokerage deductions, truck/lease deductions, etc and that THEY put him in the hole for $800.00.
He wanted me to "steal" the truck and also the FUEL to drive it on to my house, cause he was turning it in. I didn't even find all this out until I took it (at his instruction) to get it serviced for an air conditioning problem.
I refused to steal the truck, so Dart bought my bus ticket home, and he says that they made HIM pay for both bus tickets.
I have repeatedly tried to get this man to pay me, I can't help it that he didn't make money. I did my part, I drove the truck and I racked up the miles, it is not MY fault that he didn't make any money. I deserve to get the money that I worked for!
It caused me to have my electricity shut off and this man knows this. He still won't get in contact with me thru even repeated emails.
He has accused me of "being mean to his wife" when he knows that my normal way of talking is in that tone.
Dart will not even talk to me, I called the brokers and found out how much each load paid, according to them, I should have been paid TWICE the amount of this claim!!!
Bob Houston is the general manager at Dart in Columbiana Ohio, said that he "washed his hands" of the whole subject and won't do anything but offer me a dropdeck driving job. Which I can't do.
I just want my money and for this whole nightmare to be over with!!!
