Texaco Xpress Lube
Cut my brake line, superglued it back together and put me back on the road

I went to the Texaco Xpress Lube to get an oil change before taking a trip out of town. They talked me into a fuel injection (not needed for my new model car until 25,000 more miles!) and charged me $90. The injection took quite a while longer than it should have, but when I asked I was told that nothing was wrong at all by the shop manager who was the person that actually did the work.

The next morning my check engine light was on and my brakes did not work when I pulled out of my driveway. The manager of the Xpress Lube dodged my calls for hours. I had my car towed to a shop to access the problem. The shop owner sat me down after showing me the SUPER GLUE that was on my brake line. Upon calling the service station for the fourth time that day, the manager of Xpress Lube told me that if I called his shop again it would be considered harassment.

The district manager, Steve Temple, finally called me and gave me a really pretty song and dance and led me to believe that he was going to help me. He told me that the manager had admitted damaging my brake line the day before and he apologized profusely for the manager's actions.

Our agreement:
* Texaco Xpress Lube would pay for the repairs to my car, which included replacing my entire brake system (in a car that is less that 1 year old!!!)
* Texaco Xpress Lube would pay for a rental car
* The current manager on duty would be fired since he knowingly put a customer on the road after disabling the brake system.
* A refund would be provided for the "services rendered"

Steve Temple has not held up his end of the bargain. These were simple requests that were made to manager that could have ultimately been convicted in court for my death had I been on the road when my brakes failed.

Do not visit these locations. Steve Temple is the district manager for all of the Atlanta locations and they will treat your life with less respect than a dollar bill as well.
