I, Nadine El, leased a 2001 Toyota Hifglander from Toyota motors and financed by Toyota Motor Credit / after about three and one half years into the leasae the truck begin to smoke excessively and a bad odor coming from the interior. Several attemps to have Toyota correct the problems failed. I voluntarily terminated the lease and it was determined later that more people had similar problems with the truck.
Toyota reported to the credit bureaus that the truck was repossessed and charged off as bad debt. Currently there is a Class Action Law Suit filed against Toyota because of the problems that this truck have caused consumers. It has been determined that the truck is a lemon. Even though we have settled this issue with Toyota because of fraudalent filing of negatives in our credit profile and have cost us thousands of dollars because of the impact it had on our credit score. Even though this was settled months ago it is still being reported as repossessed and bad debt charge off.
A law suit is being considered for fraudalent filing by Toyota and credit bureaus reporting incorrect information in my credit file after letters were written and information were given to them informing them that the informatiom were incorrect.
