While visiting Albuqurque on business, I had trouble with my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. None of the windows would go down, nor would my doors lock. I made an appointment with Reliable Chrevolet to take a look at it, and have it fixed. I arrived at my appointment time of 7:30 AM, and since I was not from the area, I had to wait on my vehicle. After sitting for 3 hours in their waiting room, they come to me and tell me what is wrong and give me an estimate of $1400.00. I tell them that is ridiculous, that I won't pay that much and I just want my Tahoe back. They go back, and in 5 minutes have my Tahoe back to me. They charge me $120.00 for diagnostic. This I pay with no problem, I wasn't expecting anything for free.
Next, I get in my Tahoe, pull out on the street, look down, and see ash's on the window control. They never even pulled the door panel off, nor did they touch the window control that they wanted to charge $1400.00's to fix! Apparently, they made me sit for 3 hours, gave me a bogus estimate, without doing anything. Explains why it took them so little time to get my Tahoe back to me. Nothing was apart to begin with. I guess they saw my out-of-state license plates and decided they didn't have anything to lose.
Needless to say, I've since had my car repaired... For less than $800.00.
