United Auto Credit
Sent letters to my job not addressed to me, falsifing my account to police ripoff

I got a Car Loan through United Auto Credit in Bedford Texas in July. I do admit that there were times were my pay day did not fall on the same date the car note was due which did cause it to be late on some occasions. United Auto Credit is a type of financial institute that calls you immediately the day after if your car note is not in there office, I have even had calls the same day the car note is due.

But the problem begins when I tell you the date I will be in to pay the Car note and you constantly call me every single day at work, at home, on my cell phone come to my place of work until that date comes. They have went as far to send letters to my job addressed to Member Services which is our customer service department, that when they finally arrived at my desk it has been opened showing all of my personal business.

When a young lady from there company called me, I asked her why do you call me every single day when I have told you the day I will be in, she stated that is there policy to call you everyday to make sure you are going to keep the arrangement made. I stated to her I have told you when I will be in to pay the Car Note and please do not call me everyday, I stated to her if you can not wait on that date you have my permission to come get the vehicle, but I will not be harassed on a daily basis but still they contacted me everyday.

On last month I went onto the FTC website and filed a complaint against United auto credit, mind you this is for a Car note that is only a week to three weeks late, never months, never one month late. On my October Car note which is due on the 16th of each month I made a partial payment of 200.00 of 276.00 that was due. The $76.00 was gonna be about 3 weeks late getting to them and I informed them of that.

They called me constantly everyday for the last 3 weeks, at work, on my cell, even had a represenative come to my place of work. I didnt answer the calls for the simple fact that I have told them in the past do not call me everyday because I will not be asnwering my phone.

Well on November 13, I received a voice mail at work from a Dallas detective of Theft, Fraud and consumer relations, I did not retreived the voice mail until November 14th when I got back to my office. When I contacted the detective he asked me was I in possesion of the vehicle and I said yes, he stated to me that United Auto Credit had filed a report that I was not in possesion of the vehicle and that it is in the hands of a third party, I told detective Adams that I have my vehicle and that UAC did not have to contact him to falsify a report because they know where I work, they have my home address and they could have easily just came and picked the vehicle up, I stated to the detective that this is over $76 owed to them.

I beleive that the report filed was in retaliation to the complaint with the FTC because I drove the vehicle to work on a daily basis and they could have easily picked it up from my place of work or my home. The day the detective contacted me I left my job and went to my house and cleaned out the vehicle and told them to come pick it up.

The constant harrasment of phone calls, visits to my place of employment and letters sent to my place of employment addressed to Member Services seems like it does constitute harrassment.

UAC united auto credit are out of control with there collection practices
