I went to ugly duckling almost a year ago and was bamboozled into getting a car. I was down and someone said try the duck. They were really friendly and I put $200 down and was to bring back the balance in 2 days. I went to test drive the car and I noticed it was really stink on the inside. I asked the guy about that and he said that it was because it sat closed up on the lot. I bought that. That was the first lie.
I got the car and noticed that when I used the a/c my car would be totally wet on the inside. That was where the stink smell was coming from when I was test driving it. I called that in. Two weeks later my "service engine soon" light came on. To make matters worse I went to do my laundry and on my way home my car started overheating. I drove it home and called and spoke to the manager. He said that I had no warranty on the car but to take it to their mechanic. He said I would have to pay.
I distinctly told him that I would not pay a red penny because I had just received this car and the problems were preexisting. He said to take it to the mechaninc anyways. I dropped the car off. Two days later I went to pick my car up. The next morning as I drove into my job the "service engine light" came back on.
I went inside and called again. But I forgot to tell you the nasty attitude of the manager when I went to pick my car up and wanted me to pay for something that they did not fix. My car was still leakin, the service engine light was still on and my windows would not go up and my car got soaked from the rain.
I NEED HELP!!! I have to get out from under this trap. I have tried trading it in and all the dealers have run in the other direction. My concerns are too much to even write. Please please help.
