I reently purchased a 1996 Corvette via Internet from CNV Corvette Sale's Website. Had several telephone conversations with a salesman named Paul Martin. Since I could not be there personally to inspect the vehicle cause I'm in California and CNV is in Arizona, I asked Mr. Martin a series of questions about the vehicle and its history.
I emphasized to Mr. Martin that I did not want to invest my hard earned money into a vehicle that had been previously wrecked or was a salvage title.
Paul Martin guaranteed me that it was not a salvage title or been in an accident. He even sent me a carfax report.
I also spoke to Mr. Martin about a webpage posted by a previous customer of CNV Corvettes that claimed that CNV sold salvage vehicles with laundered titles! Mr. Martin said that it was a mistake and again assured me that ALL vehicles sold by CNV went through a rigorous safety inspection before being sold and are completey safe and operational.
Well when I received my corvette it was obviously wrecked before because it had severe suspension damage. One tire came in further the other.
The vehicle never felt safe when turning, and there was misalignments in the body with the glass and weatherstripping. I wrote and spoke to Paul Martin about it and got no reponse. I can't believe that CNV Corvettes is doing business like this and getting away with it!
