Purchased a used car on a Friday afternoon.By Friday evening it was apparant that the vehicle had electrical issues. Took the vehicle back on Saturday and tried to negotiate a peaceful solution.
Vance Chambers first wanted an opportunity to look at it and told us to check back in about an hour. We gave him an hour and a half and when we went back the vehicle had not moved. He offered my wife a Buick with a cracked windshield instead.
We left with me saying we would work it out on Monday.
Monday morning I contacted Vance to let him know we were not comfortable with a vehicle that had electrical problems since this was to be our primary vehicle and needed it to be dependable. I again asked about voiding the contract which he is adament about not doing.
This was advertised as a "Buy Here, Pay Here" lot. After signing papers we were presented with additional paperwork for a company named "CWI" which is a finance company in Tulsa. When I called them Monday morning they knew nothing about me or the deal. Upon questioning Vance about this, he told me that he had sent the paperwork to Wells Fargo. I contacted them also and got the same story that they did not know anything about me or even a One Budget Motors. Why does he have to lie about who has the paperwork and the note on the car?
Also over the weekend I researched and learned that he had charged us approximately $2000 over the retail for this vehicle based on Kelly Blue Book and NADA.
He did not provide us an odometer statement as is required by law when we signed paperwork either.
I have filed complaints with Better Business Bureau, Used Motor Vehicle and Parts Commission, and a local news station as well.
