My husband was laid off a few months ago since then he has found employment. During the time he was laid off, we had problems making some our auto payments on time. On 9/25/06, we received a letter on our door from NCCI - National Creditors Connection, Inc a collection agency for Compass Bank telling us the amount we need to pay and to call Compass Bank to make arrangements to pay. On 9/26/06 my husband called Compass Bank and spoke to Joy, she told us that payments would not be accepted and we need to turn in the vehicle. Why would they put a letter on our door one day and tell us the amount we need to pay and the next day tell us that they will not accept any payments. This is a total rip-off, we have contacted an attorney regarding this issue.
