In June, I purchased a used 2002 Toyota Camry from Herb Chambers in Auburn, MA. I have had continuous problems with this car since I drove it off the lot last year.
The most aggravating complaint was when they told me I had one bad tire but needed four new tires (these tires were on the car when they sold it to me). They also told me I had rusted rotors, needed front brakes and my back brakes were bad. This was about seven months after I purchased the car.
I wanted the dealership to replace my tires and fix the brakes, at their expense. Since I got no where with the dealership, I wrote the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office but all they could get the dealership to do was offer me 20% off the labor for repairs.
I even took them to small claims court but lost out to the big dealership. I am still riding on brakes that should have been replaced when they sold me the car.
They also stated they replaced the front bumper for me before I took possesion of the car. Why they did that I have no idea because the bumper looked fine when I looked at the car. Now the front bumper that they replaced is peeling paint.
I could go on & on with quite a few more complaints about the car but it would take me too long. I am presently driving around with a "yellow sign" on my car stating "Herb Chambers of Auburn MA sold me this lemon but refuses to admit it". I don't know what else to do. I am stuck with this car for a few years until I can pay off my loan.
