First Extended Service Corporation FFG Insurance Company-ripoff wouldn't honor warranty on axle shaft part

In May I purchased a used 2003 Ford Taurus from Rhoden Kia of Lincoln in Lincoln Ne. When I purchased the vehicle the sales man was able to get me an extended warranty for it for $1400.00 plus the extra interest on the loan and the sales tax I had to pay when licensing it.

In July I had a problem with the ABS sensor acting up when stopping at slow speeds. I took the car back to Rhoden Kia because all warranty work has to be done there at the dealership. After a couple hours Darryl called me from Rhoden Kia and told me he had some good news and some bad news. The good news was that they found out what was wrong with my car, the bad news was it wasn't covered by my warranty. He said the exciter ring on the axle was broken. I said great! It is covered then because it says on my paper work that the axle is covered. He told me that the exciter ring part isn't. The really bad news is that you can't buy just the exciter ring, you have to purchase the whole axle. I was confused at that point.

I called the warranty company to ask what in the world was going on. The rude man on the phone told me that the exciter ring was not covered. I said I don't understand if it is connected to the axle then it is the axle that is broke. I said where can I purchase just the exciter ring? He said you can't you have to purchase the whole axle. After trying to argue the point of it being one part he went silent and wouldn't speak to me anymore. I said your silence speaks volumes and hung up.

I then called Rhoden Kia back and had them put my car together and I took it to Mark my mechanic at Pro-Automotive that is honest and fair in his pricing. He said that the exciter ring does not come as a part by itself, that it is a whole part. Hmmmm... The whole axle, again this is covered according to my warranty paperwork. So I had Mark fix it and he charged $43.00 less than Rhoden Kia wanted to charge me.

I have since gone to three stores here and asked if the exciter ring comes as a separate part and all three have said no it is all one and it is casted together. I even had them pull them from the shelf and I took pictures showing it seems to be casted together and not something that just comes off. When asking this they all three stated that it is very seldom if at all that that part would even break or go bad.

I would like to see First Extended Service Corporation be investigated for all the claims they won't cover and see just how many people they have gotten money from for their so called warranty and not honored. I am going to file a suit with the Attorney General here and I am also contacting the Ford Motor Corporation to see what they say about that part.

I work very hard for my money and being a single parent I don't have alot to spare so I thought the warranty would be a great help to me when repairs were needed... Boy was I WRONG!!!
