Ripoff Dishonest Sales Practices

I would like to make a complaint about the service I received form Empire Suzuki. The service I received while trying to purchase a car from them was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I was lied to repeatedly, passed around to 5 different people, and I was treated like an idiot.

I feel that their customer service is lacking and that their sales staff is dishonest. I feel for all the people that they have and will scam in the future with their "guarantees" and "promises". I am glad that I was able to see that doing business with them would have been a mistake.

I was upfront with Van, my sales person from the beginning about my situation and he called me EVERYDAY for 2 weeks to come in saying that it would not be a problem and that he would get me into a new car. I finally drove the hour to get there, and he passed me off to someone else. Before I left that night,

I was quoted a payment of $382 by Sales Manager Byron White.

I said that was at the top of my budget, and he said that they were waiting for two more banks to respond. I told him I would think about it. Again, He knew that I needed my payment @ $365. Again, I was told "not a problem." He called me the next day and said that they got the payment "where I wanted it" and told me to come on Saturday to pick up MY car. Like most people would, I wrongfully assumed that he was being honest and that everything was ready to go. I drove an hour AGAIN to get my car.

I called while on my way, and was told everything was ready to go. I got there, and was then told "not so fast", nothing was set. My payment had gone up to over $400 and was asked for money down, even though Byron and Van were told I was not putting money down and I needed my payments @ $365 and that I was upside down with my trade in. They knew all this and still told me I had a car waiting for me.

I was lied to to get me to the dealership. I was then passed to 3 more people who "Knew nothing" about my situation. All of them told me that Byron should not have called me and told me that. If the deal was not done, I should have been told so, because I would not have wasted my time, gas, hopes and patience to come all the way back had I known the truth. I think that I have not met more unethical people in my whole life. To tell someone that they have a car waiting for them with the terms they needed, to get their hopes up, and then to jerk it away is despicable.

I left the dealership with complete disgust and dissatisfaction. I have purchased cars before, and dealt with other dealerships with my current situation, and not once was I treated the way their employees treated me. If they could not help me, I was told so upfront. Their employees lied and deceived me hoping that I would want the car so badly that I would break down and take the bad deal.

I am not stupid, and I will not be conned. I know that they will make the excuse that they were just doing their job and trying to sell a car. Again, I have dealt with several car salespeople, and have not had this experience. I am also in a sales field, and I would never treat my customers the way I was treated by their staff. I just think they should know where your customer service ranks. I will never want a Suzuki again, if this is the type of people that they employ.
