I needed a set of roof racks for my work truck, and I needed them quickly. Several local auto parts stores could not guarantee delivery in time.
I found The Parts Bin, online, and ordered the parts, even though they were approximately 15% more expensive, only because I was offered next day shipping.
A short time after my order was confirmed via e-mail, I received two e-mails at the same time. The first stating they apolgized that next day shipping was not available, but would be in the future. The second e-mail confirmed my order as being accepted, and paid for, albiet minus the next day shipping charge.
I immediately called the customer service number from the website, and explained to an individual that if next day shipping was not available, I would need to cancel the order. I was told that was impossible that being a weekend, it was impossible to cancel an order. I was told I needed to call back on Monday morning.
On Monday morning, I called and talked to another individual who told me it was impossible to cancel because the item had already been shipped. I mentioned the first individual said it wouldn't be shipped til late Monday or first thing Tuesday morning. I was told that is incorrect, and there was nothing that could be done.
I asked to speak to a supervisor, or someone in customer service. I was told no such people existed.
My only option is to return the item, and of course pay shipping and a possible 20% re-stocking fee.
BEWARE OF DOPING BUSINESS WITH THIS WEBSITE. As it appears this morning, I won't have the roof racks in time for the project I need them for, and I will end up losing approximately $60.00-$75.00 to return them
