On a road trip from east coast to west coast, stopped for fill up in Pensicola, FL. Received gas mixed with water,
My vehicle, which by the way had just had a new engine installed, started to choke, shake, and the engine light came on when it got to 1/4 tank. Went to garage, the mechanic checked it out.in front of my eyes pulled the fuel filter out, it was full of water. Not to mention what this water could have done to my new engine. Kept all receipts relating to this. Plus the mechanic had put on the receipt what caused the problem. Turned them into Texaco customer services.
It took from Sept of 01 to April of 02 to get any feedback at all from the company. No calls no nothing. There final decision was to deduct the 27.50 from my crdeit card for the bad gas. I was out a total of 648.00, not to mention the interest that kept incurring on the bill. I will run out of gas before I go back to them. They are terrible.
