Hyundai Motor Company
Deceptive company Your car is worked on by god knows who USA

I had a similar experience with two Hyundai motors dealerships. And here is something that I noticed common with a least the 4 other dealerships that I checked out.

A. Hyundai Motor Dealerships are herded with other common foreign dealerships i.E... Suzuki, Mazda, and or Volkswagen. The problem with this is that not always a skilled competent Hyundai tech winds up working on your vehicle.in fact I have noticed that a lot of service check list items that we had worked on were overlooked. Reason being that the tech had only suzuki experience!

B. Because Hyundai Motors sell inexpensive cars at the dealership they are serviced with as much attention as a Yugo, a $25k Volkswagen is going to get a more detailed servicing in the shop as aposed to a $13k Elantra at least this is how it seems. I draw this conclusion when I talked to my service managers, they say "Well it is a Hyundai... Grin"

C. I was informed buy one service manager that all their Hyundai's maintenance work was being done by the intern in the shop! Excuse the hell out of me but I DO NOT PAY $85 AN HOUR FOR AN INTERN TO WORK ON MY CAR! (no offense towards Interns)

D. Almost always when the Dealerships were wrong and dealt with my wife they said she was crazy. Even when there was proof to the contrary. It still took me going down there and straightening it out and now every time she comes in there they give the crazy customer stare... That's OK after I took it in several times and pointed out their incompetence I am now given the stare...

E. There is a known problem with their brake pads. They make squealing noises, because they are mostly metallic please note that this is after I had the brakes fully serviced. I was informed that this is normal they squeal don't squeal. How am I supposed to know when my pads wear down and are too low? This luckily they able to be fixed but they would not guaranty that this was a permanent fix. Also if the pads are mostly metallic be careful folks they will chew up your rotors which are a lot more expensive to repair.

All these points that I had brought up with their customer service 800 operator felt like they were falling upon the deaf ears as at the service shop, it was more like a "yea wadda want me to do about it" attitude that we received that pisses me off.

And in the immortal words of my service tech
"Whadda ganna do, Dude..."
