I put my car in an AAMCO Shop in Lemon, CA October. This is now March. I was originally told 2 weeks. Each time I speak to someone I am told another date the car will be done. For any vehicle to be in a shop for six months is ridiculous to say the least. I am a single mother with two children and my vehicle is literally my lifeline.
Due to the length of time the car has been in the shop I was forced to purchase a used vehicle until mine was fixed. That vehicle has now taken a dive. So now again I am without transportation. I have missed numerous days from work, suffered much stress and financial hardships over this whole matter.
I spoke to someone Monday 3/27/06, and was told the car would be ready Wednesday 3/29 I called 3/28 to verify that my vehicle would indeed be ready and once again I was told either Thursday or Friday. I was told the job was going to cost me $4900.00 for rebuilding the transmission. When asked if they could cut me a deal due to the circumstances of the matter I was told NO. How much longer do I need to wait???
I have been more than patient but I am at my wits end now.
