Amin sold me a car with 50/50 warranty for 30 days. First the cassette player was not working, the car was filthy, a week later, the overhead light went off and inspite of changing the fuse, does not work.
Bad feeling...
Next the transmission was delayed in changing gears. Called all this to Amin, who replied not to panic. I had already told him that i feared that this car could be a lemon.
Noticed that in the mornings the transmission would take long to shift specially from 2nd to third.
And 3 weeks later, the check the engine lights when on. Then i knew the fear i feared was upon me. A bad dealer, oh no, not me!!!
He offered to take the car and have his mechanic check the engine light and the transmission. I asked if he would extend the warranty and he said if it is the same part.
Yeah sure, his mechanic.
Because i was in a seminar, i could not just have the car inspected by a mechanic. Finally, on the last day of the seminar (local) i found a person who checks cars for people before they decide to buy. On the way, there were hills, and the transmission was not only slipping, but once, it would not shift to 2nd.
Finally got to the meeting place, and the inspection showed engine was leaking, transmission was leaking and for the road test, the guy actually got scared when the transmission would not shift in the middle of traffic. Bad report. So because i had an important appointment in manhattan beach, i decided to drive there, but uphill on the way to by the LAX airport, the transmission was slipping until, it would not shift to 2nd at all.
With emergency lights blinking. Brought it to my friends garage where i now sits.
Had to get a rental and called Amin, who had the nerve to tell me that, that day was the last day to utilize the 50% warranty (it was not even the last day). I asked for a refund. And so it seems i will need legal help.
Why do we have dealers this bad, not even a month and the transmission gave up. This is unbelievable that a car that was supposedly pre inspected could have leaks and that the car was unsafe to drive. 3 weeks.
Any body out there who can help?
