We payed cash for a 1994 Chevrolet Corssica sedan for our son for Christmas. Our son drove off the lot and adjusted the steering wheel and The car died. My wife called and spoke with Mr. Lightners wife and explained the situation. Mrs. Lightner spoke with her husband and both insisted my Wife take the vehicle to Gulf Automotive. My wife told them that she was dissatisfied and wanted to return the vehile and get our money back. The Lightners again insisted the vehicle be taken to Gulf Automotive and they will take care of and not to worry.

The vehicle was picked up 7 day's later with a replaced steering column and a heat sensor. No paper work was recieved. The man Kevin at Gulf told my wife, Lightners paid for the repair and not to worry.

The vehicle was driven home and parked. The turn signals did not work and the brake lights came on only on the driver side rear. We thought that maybe the bulbs were burnt out and replaced them. The lights were still not working.

My son pleaded with us to let him drive the vehicle to work. Our son drove to work and parked the vehicle for the day. That evening our son started the vehicle and drove approximately two blocks when the engine started making a loud noise. (Third day of actually driving the vehicle) Our son parked the vehicle and called us at home. We picked him up and left the vehicle in a parking lot to be checked the next day.

My son and I went and checked on the vehicle. I checked the oil, water and also checked for leaks under the vehicle. None were found and the fluid levals were fine.

I called Lightner Motors and spoke with Mr. John Lightner the owner. I explained the situation and he told me to drive the vehicle to Gulf Motors. I questioned, Do I have to pay for a tow truck? Mr. Lightner replied just drive it to Gulf and we will take care of the problem.

Now going into the third week, I called Mr Lightner and again requested our money back. Mr Lightner replied that will not happen. An argument of course ensued. Mr Lightner ended up telling me to shuve it up my ass.

The vehicle is still at Gulf Automotive in Bradenton Florida and we area out $2.000 dollars and a vehicle. No one has returned our calls and no one has bothered to tell us the truth about the vehicle. Mr. Lightner is saying we did something to the vehicle and that we are basically screwed!!
