I purchased a used 1988 Jeep Cherokee May 23. Before I purcahsed it I had them agree to in writing to fix some things wrong with it. One was the clutch fluid was leaking into the fuse box causing sparks, and parts of the vehicle to not work.
Second, the clutch and transmission were missing and it was hard to shift into gear without having to force it really hard. These were supposed to be taken care of as soon as I brought the vehicle back. It took them two weeks, and the fuses still are burning out. The transmission and clutch-they told me, was fine, Not even two weeks later the whole thing blew. It took two months and several hours on the phone for me to get someone to talk to, and at the same time not having a vehicle.
Then I got anti-freeze poison from fumes seeping into the vents when I had the heater on. I didn't realize this was an issue until I had to start using my heater-after the Summer months. I took the vehicle to a transmission shop and they gave me an estimate of over $1200 to fix the transmission.
I finally got a hold of someone and the company and told them about the vehicle. They said they would buy it back and get me into something more realiable. Well that turned out to be a lie. I go over there, with jeep towed over, and they say they can't get me out of the vehicle because I owe too much. They had proceeded to run my credit again to put me into something like a trade. After seveeral hours they said they would have the transmission rebuilt.
A month later I got my vehicle back and within a week it was doing the same thing. I went back to the lot, and their so called manager had me wait there for two hours before he got to me and told me to come back the following day. I went back and waited another 2 hours, and he finally came to me and said since it was already rebuilt they weren't going to do anything else. Well, I was furious I told him I was going to tell everyone about how crappy their service was and I was never coming back. He said good we don't want to see you again. So I'm still driving this crap car; which only works sometimes. Don't ever, ever go to them if you want any amount of help, customer service or a reliable vehicle.
