I was stopped at a red light, waiting for it to turn green. While I was stopped, I placed my car in neutral and engaged the hand brake. When the light turned green, I tried to place the car in gear but it wouldn't move. Duh! Take the parking brake off.
There was a truck to my left that had already entered the intersection but since I coouldn't see over it and this driver had a commanding view, I felt resonably safe to enter the intersection under a green light in my direction of travel.
Apparantly not as a client of Liberty Mutual was racing home exceeding the speed limit (45 MPH) by at least 20 MPH. I didn't see this Saturn SC2 and do not remember anything until waking up in the back of the ambulance.
Now, a month and a half after the crash, Liberty Mutual is claiming I am at fault. Slander like that on initial settlement is unacceptable and is another brick in the wall that has Liberty Mutual boxed in as a company with a chronically broken moral compass.
