Safeway Auto - Heritage Funding Group
Ripoff bait & switch, false advertizing, price hiking, deceptive contracts and statements, dealer and loan company finance scam safety harbor, ormond beach

Bill of sales for Ford Explorer 1998 Gold was for $5,595.00. The loan company Heritage Funding switched the price of the auto to $7,200 with 29 percent interest with tax and tags over a est. 2year period the car was $10.000.00.

After confronting the loan company, they agreed to do the loan for the price on the bill of sale. Then I got a call stating I had no auto insurance. I could not understand this call so I went to my insurance company which in Ellis on 66th Street in Largo, Florida to check.

Well, I had insurance and the funding company called and checked to see if I had insurance. I however didn't have insurance on the car I was tring to buy, because I had yet to see the new finance contract.

Then I got another call from the Dealer Paul at Safeway Auto saying the loan company dropped my loan and will not do the deal because I have no insurance on the car I had not yet signed the contracts on.

Because I caught them switching prices on me and they tried to cover up the loan contract switch in price. They dumpped my deal and made it appear as if it would not insure the auto.

When I called to loan company I was told that the dealer said I had the property and had it off the lot and didn't insure the car.

What is wrong with this picture? How did I get the car if I never signed the contracts for the car. And how did I get it of the lot with out tags and insurance. How would anyone get this confused. The dealer got upset becasue I didn't go for this switch. And then tried to make me out to be a crazy man taking a car not in my name and I have no paper but a bill of sales with a balance that I still owe money on the car.

I want a law suit for them treatment me like a fool and false advertiz. And the switch of the price. Tort conduct against me, waisting my time for 2 weeks and holding my downpayment knowing they had (fixed the deal.) Yes this was a fix.

And now take the sale from me blocking me in getting the auto for the price on my bill of sales. This is a conflict of interest when the dealer and the loan company is setting you up to rip you off for more money.

Plus my conversations with the Heritage Funding group had all kinds of confirmation they were in on the fix together. The loan rep. Dustin kept telling how the Dealer was not making any money. I said why is this your problem, this was the price he gave me and I have a sales reciept to prove it. The loan rep was in shock and stopped talking for a minute. He was not aware I had the sale reciept.

I was told that that the way this loan works was that: 1. You find the car. 2. You are given a price 3. You tell them what you want in payments 4 The loan company fixes a sales price according to what you want to pay. And over what period of time 5. The payment and the time period could be anything, but they keep to what you are willing to pay. 6. The contract comes back to you with just what you wanted to pay and the period.

However the sale price on the auto is not even close to what was told to you. They get away with this because they are so slick most people forget to get the sales reciept, becasue the dealer and the loan company or working on getting you qualified.

Now matter what your credit good or bad they will do the same deal to anyone. If you have bad credit you are so happy to get the deal.

In my case I had credit problems and money problems. My money was limited. So, when the contract came back the question was why do I owe tax and tags to the dealer and tax and tags was already on the switched price contract plus I still owed the dealer 1,400 dollar, on a 5,595 deal with a switch price of 7,200 plus tax and tags and interest. Why do I still owe the dealer? You do the math.
