Dimmitt chevrolet serviced my 2004 astro minivan on june 27 and my engine seized on july 5. Only 37,000 miles on this gm vehicle. Warranty epired at 36,000.
Gm will not assist with any goodwill help and dimmitt denies any wrong doing. If i would not have had my car serviced at dimmitt chevrolet, i would still be driving and it would not need a new engine. Poor supervision of mechanic lead to the oil being drained from my van and i was allowed to leave dimmitt chevrolet with low oil due to mechanic error.
I called gm customer service at 1-866-932-4368 spoke with Laurie O'Connor at ext 35558 and she stated no one higher up will do anything due to I did not use gm service for mu last oil change on May 15,2205. I informed her that Federal law prohibits new car dealers from implying or denying warranty service because routine scheduled maintenance was performed at an independent repair facility. Title 50 chapter 50 section 2301-2312 U.S. Federal Code.
