I just wanted to put a report on here for the ladies to be very wary of Alamao Rent A Car or National. I recently rented a full size sedan with unlimited mileage for a full weekend to take my children to the beach.
I had no problems with the car except that it vibrated a little in the front end. After I returned the car back to Alamo, they wrote me a letter stating that I had put completely flat spots on both front tires and that I had to pay for said tires.
I asked for a picture and a copy of my rental agreement from the company. They sent me the copy of the rental agreement with my signature and a bill for $275.00 for Two Tires!
I called their office and was told that I should have checked the tires completely out before driving the car. How many of us go out and get on our hands and knees to check out the tires on these rental cars??? Everyone that I have spoken too, including my insurance company agrees that Alamo is just trying to take me to the cleaners because I am a single woman. Just a warning to all.
