HAFC/HBSC would not allow more than one payment per month on a high interest (18.95 APR) new truck loan for the life of the loan in violation of federal and state law.
Monies submitted over and above the monthly payment were held in "suspense" and not applied to the balance as required by law in California. The funds would only be applied to the loan balance if the customer was late, or missed making a monthly payment.
