I bought a car from DriveTime in Torrance, CA in December. I was pregnant with my 2nd child, and in the office by myself (BIG MISTAKE, BTW), and I had to have a car to get around. After getting my whole life story, and proof of it, they finally agreed to let me have a car. Complete with ridiculously high payments, massive car problems (The car has been in the shop no less than five times since I've had it.) and the whole lot.
For the first time in over a year, I have to be a little over ten days late. They are seriously trying to reposses the car. I have put over $9,000 into a vehicle that is only worth about $2,500 (1998 Chevy Malibu LS.
I finally had to lean on one of my clients for an advance payment on work I haven't even done yet. I called the loan manager back this morning, to let her know I got someone to give me the money for them, and she has been avoiding me all day.
Un=be-freaking-lievable.
