I got not one, but two defective trannys from Dennis - with both installations at my expense. He also lied about some things Lonnie said, or should I say, didn't say about my car when it was at JBA Racing in San Diego.
Here's my story.
I bought a "bulletproof" tranny from him and had it installed at a speed shop in San Diego. A few weeks later, the tranny slips at WOT all the way to 6000 rpms, regularly. He initially claims that JBA must have installed it wrong, so I have him talk to JBA. JBA wasn't having any of his crap. So he sends me a new tranny, and I have it installed at my expense. He also informs me that my car was basically a piece of crap... According to Lonnie. Spark plug wires on the wrong plugs, MAF was buried in mud, etc. Yet somehow the car made the 3 hour trip to San Diego without any problems. If he knew anything about cars, he would have known better.instead, he takes great pleasure in slandering anyone and anything that might indicate that he made a mistake.
Anyhow, I eventually asked if I could get a refund for the extra expense. He gives me the "we don't warranty high performance parts" crap. He then becomes rude and tells JBA Racing that I was posting all sorts of slander about them all over the web. I had been polite to him this entire time. The last time I spoke to him, he called me a "f*ing idiot." and, you'll love this part, "you've been talking to Geno Angelino (LMS), haven't you?" To which I replied, "no, but maybe I should."
I left out a bunch of things, but that's pretty much the meat of it.
