On Oct. 12, I contacted AAA in reference to the mailer I received. I questioned how many free months were to be issued for enrollment where I was advised a total of three applied. Oct 28 charged my National City Bank account for membership.
On 12/6/04 I had called to get routing # for deposit of payroll ck. When I was informed of an overdraft. At that time I informed the gentlemen at 800# the chg. Was not authorized and I wanted it removed. On 12/8 I called back to 800# to see if credit had been issued when I was instructed that only bank mgr. Could handle.in both conversations with Pete Lyon on 12/8 @ 12/10 I requested his decision in writing if overdraft credit was not issued.
I signed on with AAA under the acknowledgment that 3 free months were rewarded for two objectives. Free enrollment and purchasing today (1 mo.) Auto renewal (2 mo). January 28 would then be billing cycle for membership. On 12/2 AAA transmitted charges to my account (60 days prior to membership expiration)
In contacting AAA they stated that this action was standard to assure your account handled it, no broken coverage. AAA will not acknowledge 3 months but renewal was then 30 days prior on billing statement.
Not in agreement with their prior 30-day charge I cancelled auto renewal received in Dec. I left the charge on my account because agreement prior, for three free months and issued to them proof of advertizement.
Requested action needed to cancel renewal for 2004. I was instructed not to return the renewal statement received in 2003. I was once told by a federal employee once that Every year when we signed our income taxes, we are binding a contract to pay Uncle Sam for the next year.
AAA refunded my auto policy because I said just cancel then. Why I did this was when AAA put on charge my account went overdrawn. Banks -$34 chg then put -$79. Also the bank did not loan me money and money never left the bank. The bank then @ AAA would not take any responsibility for overdraft. They are not responsible.
When refund was credited to bank account since it had been now 10 days later I received -$6 charges thru 12/31 then closed account and reported me on credit report. Then on 1/21 since sister was on account as (or) in case of problem they withdrew the money from her account without her prior knowledge.
Also I have not received my money for my 2 months in overpayment. AAA says they are not allowed to refund any DDA charges and the bank says they are allowed in terms of agreement. I have asked numerous people for the statues or it in writing by the law. I have not seen this either.
This is where I am at since 12/03/04. Closed bank account, sister upset, AAA auto canceled w/no money bank on what i paid. Nightmare

Auto bill paying is letting these companies make up their own rules. The account had been open since 5/1997 (1st time I ever asked anything from this bank) and AAA since 2002.
