Purchased one "tough one new axle shaft" assembly part # ncv10235. I decided to purchase this particular shaft due to it having the same number of ribs on the outer boot to match the damaged one i was replacing.
When i opened the box and cut off the plastic wrapping i soon discovered this axle was not the one as shown in the picture. This particular axle only has three (3) ribs not 7 which could mean it might bind, or cup when making hard turns.: (let's hope not) even though it wasn't what i wanted i installed it anyway.
Advance auto needs to change the picture in order to comply with the actual product. To me this was deceptive advertising. Maybe unintentional but still deceptive.
