I purchased an extended warranty for a GMC pickup truck back in June which was supposed to be good until June. Part of the attraction in purchasing the warranty was the sales pitch that my warranty investment ($2000.00) would be substantially refunded if the warranty eventually expired without being used.
I had to have some work done on the truck just recently and when I tried to contact the vendor regarding use of the extended warranty, the phone numbers were no longer in service. After a brief search on-line, it was apparent that I was not alone in having been abandoned without notice regarding this company and forced to pay out of pocket for repairs that I was confident would be reimbursed through Consumer Direct Warranty Services.
The end result, a very expensive lesson learned.
