Discrimination and racism in the interviewing process

I wanted to make a complaint about Capstone Consultants. It is a marketing company, and I've seen some complaints on them already on here which isn't that surprising given what I experienced, and this is the first time I've ever really had to deal with this, but I thought I'd address the issue. I went on the interview early in the morning at 9 am, and I met with a nice looking well presented man, in a suite, tie, and he had pepper grey and black hair, and he said he was a history minor. He seems nice, but looks can be deceiving. When he met with me, he couldn't stop looking at my hair and skin color. I'm a mixed raced black woman with curly afro hair, and I don't relax it or straighten it for health and financial reasons. I feel if I would have straightening my hair that day I would have gotten the job. I have all the skills to be a good sales agent, and I've done sales before, and I have tons of experience selling. Ironically I went on another interview the following day, in the same clothes I wore to this interview, same hair and everything, to see if it was me and I got the other job for the other interview, but why not this position? Why every time this man interviewing me at Capstone Consultants, looked at my hair, and not my face, it's like he was distracted, and it's not like my hair was dyed any weird colors, it's not like I had a Mohawk, it was neat, and organized, it's because I am not white with straight hair. I looked online on their sites, I have yet to see an African American woman hired by this company. Given what I have read online I am not discouraged about not given the 2nd interview, because door to door sales is not fun, but to have this man from Capstone Consultants, look at my hair and say, well don't be discouraged if you don't get a 2nd interview, says a lot. If I had straightened it or conformed to the Western view of beauty and looks, maybe I would have gotten the job, because the girl Sheena taking the calls for future people interviewing, was blonde with straight hair. I'm glad with all of the reviews I've read here, that I didn't get the job, because it sounds stressful, unethical, and unfair based on those who went on the 2nd interview. I just wanted to say my 2 cents about it here, because this company is not what it appears to be, with it's mission statement and values on their website. I am appalled they are even representing A T & T because I use A T & T for U-verse internet service, and for my cell phone provider, and to think A T & T could be connected to them or affiliated with them, surprises me, and saddens me, and makes me think twice about if I would want to continue to do service with A T & T. Well I wish everyone the best on their job searches and businesses, but if you heed one warning, no matter how much you need a job, this place is not what it appears to be, and I don't think its beneficial to the lives of others. Please research for yourself, and find out the truth. People don't make complaints online about companies or businesses for no reason, yes there are 2 sides to a story, but... What why would someone take the time to write all of this information if it was not true, because it is. Thanks for your time.
