I left work late, but was excited because I thought I could get my dinner with the McDonalds promotion from one bearby that was open late. Neither the 818 GREEN SPRINGS RD HOMEWOOD AL 35209 or the 124 STATE FARM PKY HOMEWOOD AL 35242 on Lakeshore Drive McDonalds closest to me were honoring the Big Mac buy one get one for a penny on 8/16. The Lakeshore McDonalds couldn't even get their Manager on the phone to ask them about it. I showed both McDonalds the website info. They said they hadn't heard anything about it. This kind of thing makes you want to never go to a McDonalds again. There should have been a way to tell if this was only for one small area of the country or not. According to the website, AL should have been O.K. For the promotion. I called other McDonalds in the Birmingham, AL area. Most of them just laughed at me. None of them knew anything about a buy one get one for a penny burger. Why have a promotion and not tell the stores about it? I think I should be compensated for this trouble.By the time I figured out a Big Mac deal wasn't available, I couldn't go anywhere else that I had a coupon for since it was so late.
