I did not sign up for this membership. I think I might have deleted a popup ad and that automatically registered me

I got my credit card bill and had a charge for this company which I did not sign up for. I think they might have gotten when I deleted a popup ad. How deid they get my credit card number? I called them to cancel this account but they daid there was nothing they could do. But they said they would extend my membership to March 5th
