They took too much money off my debit card and never put it back!

I had went to this Sonic and order a burger for myself and my husband and had a coupon for buy one get one free. I had got a few other things also and when they gave me the total I stuck my card in their outside machine at my car. After I did that I got to adding up what all we had gotten and realized that they had charged me too much.

I notified the guy that I was being charged too much and we soon realized that they had charged me for 2 burgers instead of just the one because the other was suppose to be free. He came back to my car and got my debit card and said that he would put the money back on there and charge my card for the correct amount.

After several days of the money not being returned to my card I called the Sonic and spoke to a manager. She informed me that it could take as long as ten days before I would see it on my card. After twelve days I called back because my card had been billed twice and it totalled thirty four dollars and some change. When I called back the manager was very rude to me and said that I could return up there and she would just give me back the cash and the store would just take a "LOSS".

The loss was mine if they did not return my money but she was very rude for a mistake that was all theirs. Needless to say that I do not use my debit card in their machines anymore and I do not dine at that Sonic.
