I was hired in without any interview. It was a friend and I. First of all, he GUESSED on all of my taxes. I am white, and I got treated horribly. He gave my friend and I a small section of about 4 tables a night TO SHARE. They would talk about us in spanish, thinking we didnt know what they were saying (I couldnt only make out a few words once in awhile). One day we came in, waiting for our section to be assigned. He came to us and said "We dont need you anymore." We asked why, and he proceeded to tell us that we were SMOKING WEED in their basement. That was under NO circumstances true. We were so upset, we told him over and over again that it was not true and he wouldnt believe us. I told him that there was no way that I was going to let him fire me over something like that, and I said I quit. He said that was fine, and that was the only part that actually went well.
My guess is that he just wanted to hire someone else, and needed an excuse to get rid of us. And sure enough, when we came in to get our last check two days later there was someone in our spot.
We tried to get a hold of the big boss above him. We left many messages, and got no response. I regret ever working here, and I am thankful that the job I had before that let me keep it for a side job and I still have it now. Don't ever work there if you arent mexican, they will rip you off.
