My self and about 8 friends rented a limo on new years anddecided to go to Martins Downtown. We actually had lunch there and the nicewaitress told us what was going on at martins Downtown later that night. We arrived in the limo vehicle and parked in the front of Martinsdowntown. Two guys staggered out of the bar and came up to the limo and triedto force their way in.in the commotion I was pushed by one of these guys (I ama girl) and my husband quickly pushed him out of our vehicle and the policearrived. The police agreed with us and said we were right to pushthem out of our vehicle and they told us to have a nice night. After theattempted limo jacking, we proceeded in to martins only to be told we were notallowed in to the establishment because we started trouble? We were the victims! They over served to young guys thatstarted messing with us and that is all that happened really. We asked tospeak to Jason Martin the owner but he would not come over so he sent DanielMock who has a reputation for being rude, he lived up to his reputation. He wasa very rude person that should not represent any business. I understand if theydid not want us to come in, I simply wanted to explain what happened outside, Ido have lunch there 4 times a week and go there 5 times a month for events. The guy Daniel Mock put his hands on me and was very rude. The bouncer (a smaller black gentleman was very nice and helpful). This guy Danielmock has been rude to use several times in the past and we over look it butcalling us names, and acting like were some uneducated thugs, in front of otherpatrons is way out of line. Martins Downtown should consider firing this manager forbeing so rude to multiple repeat customers. I will never go back to martinsdowntown. There are others in the community taking steps to expose the problemswith martins also. They should also be investigated by the ABC for lettingunderage drinking take place which I have witnessed. They over serve people andI have seen people literally have to be carried out of this bar for drinkingway way too much. The biggest problem with Martins Downtown Roanoke is themanagement and specifically the manager Daniel Mock who claimed he owned theplace. There are a lot details about what happened that night but the mainpoint it, Martins was wrong and the manager Daniel Mock did not do his jobright.
