Tonite, my husband and I ordered as first time customers, from JOE'S PIZZA AND PASTA as featured in the Palm Coast phone book.
We were told that our pizza would take one hour to be delivered, and that was a little bit too long, but, whatever... I thought that was a good thing, if they were that busy.
Well, an hour and a half went by... And finally our pizza arrived. I expected something decadent, for the price... And the extra long wait... But we were very disappointed.
What we got was a sparsely topped, soggy, pathetic excuse for a pizza.
We ordered onions, mushrooms, pepperoni, and green peppers on our pizza, along with extra sauce.
When I looked at the pizza, I was a little disappointed about the lack of toppings... There wasn't really anything there! I have worked in multiple pizza restaurants, and knew from experience that they had seriously been stingy with the toppings!
Then, when we tried to pull the pieces apart, the whole thing just fell apart, because the bottom was paper thin! We couldn't even hold the pieces! It literally fell apart in our hands!!!
So, my husband called and decided to place a complaint...
I stood there and heard the ENTIRE conversation...
My husband called and asked for the owner...
The owner, MIKE, came to the phone, and told my husband that the pizza was soggy and falling apart... I thought my husband was being calm... But then I became appaled when I started to hear insults from the owner of this establishment being shouted across the room!
My husband had not even gotten anywhere NEAR the obscene point—he was just explaining how the pizza was NOT up to par, and how DOMINOES had actually provided a better product... And how we were disappointed, for the HIGH PRICE we were charged!
I even heard, from across the room, that it was OUR FAULT that the pizza was not good, because we had ordered extra sauce and four toppings!
This guy, the OWNER, MIKE... Then proceeded to tell my husband, "F*K YOU if you don't like it, obviously you and your wife have no culinary experience, so order from DOMINOES then"!
What is up with THAT??? Is this how a business owner talks to a customer?
We will never go back there... Not only because of the crappy food, but because now of the crappy attitude of the owner... Don't expect to order a pizza and "have it your way", because "your way is wrong!"
And we are telling everyone the same!!!
If he's willing to tell a customer on the phone to "f*k you*, then what are they doing to your food behind the scenes... Think about it... It's scary!
Stay away!!!
If you want good pizza, go elsewhere! ~you won't find it here!!!
