Is a ripoff that abuses & mistreats consumers

I was dissatisfied with my $7.00 box of lettuce that was supposed to be a Caesar salad. When I called to complain, the manager, Jessica Lindsey, offered me a refund. I agreed and then I continued to explain why I was dissatisfied. The Manager told me she didn't like my attitude and that I could forget about the refund after all. I told Ms. Lindsey that I was going to call the homw office and she told me to go ahead, she didn't care what I did, she was not giving me a refund because she didn't like the way I spoke to her. I did call the home office and the woman could only offer a gift certificate. She did, however, give me the name of the franchise owner, Sherry Beverly.

I phoned the franchise owner who was extremely rude to me. I remarked that I was the customer and that last time I checked, the customer is always right. She said "not this time." She told me she didn't care if she lost my business. I told her I would be telling everyone I know about that situation and posting it online. She laughed and said snidely, "that's called slander, you can't do that." I replied that it's only slanderous if it's not true and I hung up.

A few minutes later I called back and told the franchise owner that I had not touched the food and that I had the receipt and I asked nicely if I could please get my money back. Ms. Beverly said, "It's your lucky day, missy" and agreed to give me my money back on the condition that I hear her out, without speaking at all. She continued to lecture me, telling me that I had been rude and ugly and that I needed to learn how to respect others and to think about my actions and how they may affect others. After listening to her 10 minute lecture, I went to the restaurant and she refunded my money. Curiously, the woman who was so eager to lecture me did not say one word as she refunded my $7.00.

I know it's only 7 bucks and I did eventually get my money back, but I feel like I was degraded and made to feel like a naughty child by this woman. My lucky day? Missy? Rude? Ugly? I'm sorry, but that is NOT professional, in my opinion. I don't know where, or even if, this woman went to business school but I'm sure they never taught her that the best way to run a business is to insult your customers, especially when it's the business who made the mistake in the first place! The whole management staff is out of whack and if they really don't care whether or not they get my business, I doubt they care about getting yours. There are better places to eat in this town and I suggest patronizing them instead of Off The Grill, whose food is overpriced and average in quality and whose management needs a lot of help in the customer service department.
