The Stockyard Inn is a hostile work environment. I am not the type of person to slander a business, but I think that people should know. They discriminate when hiring, and will not talk to anyone who they don't like the looks of, and by "looks" I mean race or age.
I was hired there, and did not receive proper training. I have been serving and bartending for six years, so this was ok at first. However, after two months of being there they yelled at me for a minor mistake, and then for things that were not my fault. I had to quit when Tom Fournaris, the owner, got in my face and screamed at me in front of everyone, called me an embarassment and other names, and sent me home for the night, almost chasing me out the door. This was over a check for his friends that he wanted discounted, that he inspected and approved before I gave it to them. Turns out, although he ok'd it, it wasn't how he wanted it.
I still tried to stick it out, but was publicly humiliated, screamed at and called names three more times before I let them know that I regretfully was quitting. I felt afraid that Tom would attack me.
