I order from pizza heaven often and have never had any major problems, and usually decent service. Because I am sensitive to perfumes/odors I always request a male delivery driver because women generally tend to have a lot of chemicals and body sprays in their cars and on them. They usually do this with no problem, however when I placed an order with them recently, I was hassled, mistreated, and interrogated simply for requesting what I always do - a male delivery driver. Some jerks who work at that place were giving me a REALLY hard time about it. Only because 'they were busy.' They said frustratingly "we can't make sure it's a guy.
I told them that they had to make sure or I wouldn't be able to take my order. Then the manager got on the phone and she was very rude and it seems taking out her frustration that she's 'having a busy day' out on me and my request. She kept saying angrily and frustratingly "I have 30 orders back there, I can't make sure it's a male." I explained to her that I never have a problem with them sending a guy over to my house. She kept complaining and fussing. Seemed like this arrogant mean person was taking out her frustration on a busy day out on me, a customer. She kept whining and complaining and saying "i can't rearrange 30 deliveries, angrily (as if you have to rearrange 30 deliveries just to accomodate ONE person who is requesting a male driver). She kept saying angrily "well I hope you know that if a driver comes to your house it'll be an extra 45 minutes then" and I told her that was fine because my health is more important than the time of the delivery and also explained to her that they always do this with no problem, but she continued being rude and being a jerk.
She then began interrogating me putting me in a corner saying rudely "oh so women's perfumes bother you but men's don't"?? This is absolutely abhorrent of her to do... As I, or any customer, should never have to be questioned or interrogated in this ridiculous and rude manner just because the employees are angry or having a bad day. I was polite, but the way this rude and mean manager behaved was not acceptable, and just really wrong, and it was ridiculous mean and rude customer service on their part—I've never had any major problems with this place, but to arrogantly hassle a customer who is requesting something so simple, the way I was hassled is absolutely ludicrous. Managers should not get away with interrogating, taking their frustrations out on customers, pinning the blame on them just for requesting things that they normally can do, such as having a male driver be sent to their house, or acting in such a rude hostile mean and disgusting manner. If they're having problems with 'being busy' that's their problem. But to be so mean and treat a customer like they're a problem or get angry in the manner in which this manager did is just ridiculous.
Again I've had no problems with this place and order there frequently, but this is how some managers there treat or in this case mistreat good customers— they hassle and get angry at them and take their anger out on them. Forget customer service. This restaurant gets annoyed at the fact that you make special requests and tries to put some kind of guilt trip or blame game on you, managers interrogate you and are rude to you. Just really mean arrogant jerks.
