Well, as I have sit here and read others complaints about this company it almost sounds as if I am hearing my own story, we were somewhat involved in the class action suit against this company.
By somewhat I mean we or it pertained to it, I called the HFC settelement phone number that was on our letter we recieved from our Atorney Generals office to se what this suit was all about and I was told that the type of loan we had with them did not fall in the guide lines of the class action suit. Well now that the suit is all done and setteled we have learned we do infact and did fall in the guide lines of the suit.
As far as paying our loan we have always made our payments on time, we were told after the first year of this our intrest rate of 27.8% would drop, it did not. We were told the only way to reduce it would be to refinance, so we did.
After being charged nearly $4000.00 to refinance a $20,000 loan we now owe over $30,000 and are, were making payments of $496.00 Monthly @17.8%. When I say we were making $496.00 payments I mean we just recieved our statement and they have increased our payment to $587.00 a month with no explanation.
I am sure we will be paying this second mortgage for the rest of our life. As for being lied to about being eligible for the HFC settelment I am looking into what we can do about that. I think people need to take a stand against this company and all other companies like it. They are ruining our country by bleeding the hard working men and women of their hard earned monies. We have been lied to so many times by this company you can't count them hands and feet of everyone who has been decieved by this mogrieling money giant. Let's put a stop to this deceptious, no good for our countries economy, back stabing, cheating, truthfulless company... Let's give em hell.
