NCO Financial Systems, ripoff dishonest fraudulent receipt of monies

This report is really for my mother's account, but I paid my money.

My mother received a phone call from NCO on 09/20/04 from a Mr. Volmy and at that time she authorized me to talk to him because he was supposed to be settling this account. I called him back at his extension which was 3456 at that time. At first he told me he had talked to my mom and she wanted to settle the account for $900.00. I told him at that time mom wanted to settle for $250.00 and he said no way. At that time he proposed that I pay 3 monthly payments of $386.73 because of hardship which totalled $1160.19 which was even more than the $900.00. He said because the total bill was $1933.68 and he had already deducted $800.00 off he would had to get more than $250.00. I told him I had $500.00 that I was willing to settle the account with if it was settled in full. He put me on hold until he supposedly talk to someone to get this authorized. He came back and told me that because my mother was a senior and was in hardship that they would settle the account for the $500.00 but I would have to do a check by phone, I asked him again, are sure that this will settle the account and he said yes, they would send me confirmation papers. I went on and did the check by phone. I was told that the account would be closed out and settled in full with 7-14 days after my check cleared the bank and within 30 days on her credit report. He seemed to have been a nice person. My check cleared the bank on 9/22/04.

I tried to give them a little time to get things in order, but on 10/13/04 my mom received a call saying that NCO needed more money for this was just a payment and demanding her that she needed to pay or else. The person that day my mom was so upset she forgot the lady's name. I called Mr. Volmy at that time and he told me he didn't understand why we were receiving phone calls from NCO because the account was settled and that my letter should be mailed that Friday. I waited for the letter until Wednesday and still hadn't received it, in the meantime a Lauren called harrassing my mom. These are some of the rudest people you ever want to see. I called her back to tell her that the account was supposed to be settled and at that time they gave me another rep. Which was even nastier, I was trying to explain to her and she just directed me to her supervisor which was even nastier thatn Jennifer. The supervisor which was Jenesata hung up on me after she told me I better get this handled because my mom made this bill and had to pay it. I called back and talked with Mr. Volmy at that time he claimed he would fax my letter so that they could stop calling me. I gave him enough time which he said two hours to get it handled and then I called him back, by that time someone else was answering his phone they took back to the switchboard and she directed me back to the supervisor, she told me that she did not have no record of any conversations but that I was very upset and I refused to pay the bill, which I asked her at that point how she had all of this in the records and didn't have any records of the settlement. She was very ugly and hung up again, even though they said I hung up in the records.

These are some of the most rudest people I know. I called back and asked to speak with Jenesata supervisor, but the switchboard operator put me back through to Jenesata, I refuse to deal with her, because I am not a child and I will not let her talk down to me like that. I can't imagine a company having people like this working for them, she even told me Mr. Volmy lied to me and that no one would have settled an account for that amount. She said she would speak with him on this. The fact still remains that I was ripped off and lied to if that is the case just so that NCO could get a payment according to them. I feel that this is wrong and something needs to be done so that no one else can be victimized like this. I have tried to reach Mr. Volmy since then but they say he does not work there. I have really been upset over this. I feel that the manager from this company if he is not like his employees should call my mom and let account be settled as it was supposed to, if not I will keep presenting this until I can get some results. The employees at this company has not professionalism about them. I was trying to do a good deed and got talked to like I was nothing. I just dont't know what to say about a manager that I am sure has had plenty of complaints and continues to let these things go on. I could really go on and on but I won't. Something really needs to happen with this company.
