I am also a victim of this scam with jt card services. On
9/22/01 i signed for a charge card. Which $175. Oo was from my account. I received a letter on 10/16/01 stating that this letter serves as confirmation that i will receive a new visa or master card and it will be shipped to me shortly.
One month passed and i had not received the charge card, i then called the toll free number on 12/27/01. I then spoke to the customer service representative and said i have not received a card. The rep. Told me i had to put money on the charge card in order to use it. I told the rep. That i have not received the charge card and was not told that i had to put money on the card. I then told the rep. To cancel my account and send my refund of $175.00.
On 1/3/02 i called again asking about my cancellation and the refund. The rep. Stated that she was aware of the cancellation and that i should receive my refund in 3-5 days. Well, 3-5 days passed and no refund of $175.00 was received. So on 1/11/02 i called again informing the rep. That i had not received my refund. He then said it is in the mail and i should receive it on 1/15/02. As of 1/22/02 i have not received my refund.
This has been a on going scam for me since 9/22/01. I really hope something is done about this mess soon.
