Told that I needed to sign a contract to avoid a rate increase, salesperson said I had 36 hours to cancel. I sent in a canceellation notice the next day. Three days later I got a call from a company

Told that I needed to sign a contract to avoid a rate increase, salesperson said I had 36 hours to cancel. I sent in a cancellation notice the next day. Three days later I got a call from a company rep. Saying that he recieved my notice but I still owed them a $495.00 cancellation fee. Thank God I didn't give them any banking information.
