I recently was desperate to receive a loan to pay out-of - (insurance) network fees to see a highly accredited Medical Specialist for an ongoing health concern. I had been on an unpaid 2 1/2 week Leave of Absence from work because of said health issue just prior to the long-awaited appt, so I had no income with which to pay the fees. Though I'm aware of the outrageous interest affixed to these types of loans, as i said, i was desperate and have no other resources, so I spent 2 days trying to acquire a cash-advance, payday-type loan so I could see this doctor. I planned on paying it back in 2 payments with my next 2 paychecks to prevent the frightening interest from becoming an issue. Unfortunately (in retrospect, maybe it IS Fortunate!), I don't have an active Checking Account, so I was repeatedly denied and redirected to Another site where to apply there. I finally gave up and, miraculously, I was able to come up with the minimum payment needed after all! Fast-forward @2 weeks: this afternoon I received a call from yet another strange phone number in a far-off State so I ignored it as usual, as this has been a regular occurrence from countless companies to tell me, "Congratulations! You've been Pre-approved for an immediate cash advance loan for up to $%! Just go to %.com to complete the process and receive your money!".
Surprisingly, this call left a voicemail, on which a 'paralegal' called 'Alfred' urged me to 'be on the safe side and call us to discuss the lawsuit against [my] name and social security number". Well, naturally, I was concerned and decided to call back. After i finally for through and inquired as to exactly What I was being sued for and By Whom, he me to "the attorney handling the case [against me]". When i asked the same question of the "attorney", he said I am being sued for $3487 after the creditors 'finally gave up trying to 'track [me] down' to get payment and my continual nonpayment of a loan they gave me. I asked him several times to tell me Exactly when I "received" this nonexistent loan and how much money it it supposed to have been for. He then told me he'd read aloud the affidavit he happened to have before him, but that I must not interrupt until he was finished and I'd be free to ask questions at That time. He then launches into this ridiculous list of charges for check fraud, continual nonpayment and breaking the contract of payment I'd apparently agreed to, then went on to say my work would next be notified of the case and once he downloaded the case to the federal system, I'd be served and Arrested (!!!), then processed and taken to aHearing where the case would be Judged!!! At this point he says at this time he's going to download the lawsuit to the Federal system to begin that process! Of course, when he said in his recitation that I owed $34 for costs and late fees on a $646.42 loan, I exclaimed, "What?!!?", and the man actually Stops and scolds me for interrupting after he'd toldme Not to, them asks if I'll allow him to finish! Once I again inquired as to the Exact date and place when this supposed loan took place, he said he "didn't have that information available to him". I replied, "But You are Representing the Creditor, are you not?" he suddenly says he's going to "Gonahead and download the lawsuit at this time"!!
At this point I told him this is fraud, that I am going to report this immediately - both to a lawyer And the Police and he laughed and said, "Go ahead, You'll see." and made some other comments that sounded like a child in a truth or dare game he's losin in a playground, then signed off the call!!! This "attorney" called himself "Dexter Cruz" and I had him spell it for me just before he hung up. This is complete BS! Not only did I Not receive a loan from this place that I refused to pay back even after "repeated attempts were made to track me down", but I'd never even Applied for a loan from this or Any other of this Type of business In MY 38-year Life until Less Than 2 Weeks ago!!! Do not be scared and bullied into paying these people for something they try to convince you that you owe!

I googled Cash Advance USA to try to contact them and found this link about the Exact Same thing being done to unsuspecting people all over the US an possibly beyond! Thank you for this info! I was having chest pains, I was So worked up from Not Knowing if they can actually fraudulently say I was given a loan and try to charge me for it. I hope it can't be done, but if so, now I know there's support and assistance via this website. Don't believe the Hype!
