I elected to get life insurance and picked USBA because they appeared to affiliate themselves with the US Military. Originally I chose Term Insurance, then later USBA offered a conversion plan called "USBA Generation 3: Level Lifetime Coverage - I believed after speaking with the USBA Representative that I was now getting $150,000 wholelife policy. After paying on the policy for years, I would receive updates and it still has the word "term". So I called and wrote a letter May asking them specific questions as why the word "term" keeps showing up on the Generation 3 paperwork? I asked for specific plain english reply to put this concern of my to rest or to determine if I've been scammed... I still haven't received a reply or any acknowlegement, so I called and was told they received my letter and the agent is "working on the answer" As each day/months passes USBA is receiving my payments... And now I'm questioning whether or not I truly have "wholelife" coverage for $150,000... When the paperwork I have appears to me to show otherwise..
