I responded to an advertisement on the "Spanish Channel" univicion. I was approved for a credit limit of $7500.00 instantly. I specifically asked if this credit card was a Visa. I was told that yes, it was a Visa International Card. I also confirmed that I could use this card at any store and at any ATM, and of course they said yes, that the VISA logo was on the card.
I was to get a money order for $399.00 made payable to PRL, and pay UPS when the delivered the card. I was told to call in when I recieved my card to activate it, and to get my pin number so I could access cash at ATM's.
When the "card" arrived, it was just a piece of plastic, it did not have any magnetic stip to be used in an ATM, or even my name on it.
I tried to call the number that I originally ordered the card from, but they keep hanging up on me.
I also tried to call customer service listed on the card, and can not get through to anyone to even activate this card so I can buy things out of their overpriced catalog.
I have reported this to both my local police department and to Miami police, but I do not think it will get much responce.
Please, anyone who thinks they will be getting a Visa Card from this company, they are flat out lying to you. They are only taking advantage of our trusting hispanic culture... They are making us look like fools, and taking our money in the process. I know I work hard for what little money I have, and my own people stole if from me.
Look out everyone! If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!!!
