My partner and I started a business in the worst economy possible and also did an expansion, but the bills are still being paid and it will be worth it one day... But it has been tough. When it came time to try and refinance, BOA would never return calls or even talk to us. Over two years ago BOA called to see how we were doing and suggested I call MMI (Money Management International) and they would be able to help with consolidating credit and loan debt into one payment and get special interest rates. Okay, I am a proud person, and I finally gave in and did it. And also after a hell of a year trying to find someone to refinance our entire project we finally did... And it was a credit union... They said yes, when banks said no. Now, for two years I have been with MMI and never missed a payment, no matter what, I would make sure the money is in my account each month for dispersal. This year BOA starts calling me again about a payment (totally separate from MMI) of $131 a month... They want to get it paid off and make that payment over $900 a month. This is for a line of credit just over $5500... Why can't they leave well enough alone? I went through an adjustment last year on this account after paying fees to keep the payment almost the same... Here it is one year later and they are trying the same thing again. Now, my regular job (I still work a real job) I have earned almost half of what I used to, but I am still making my payments. It is damn tough, almost to the point of bankruptcy, but I think just a few more years and things will be better. I called MMI and told them my situation, and they were wonderful... They got my creditors to lower their payments, not by much, but every little bit helps... And they were all extremely happy to do so. But... When it came to the BOA accounts that are involved in this program... A flat out NO... in fact, the woman at MMI said they received noticed from BOA that they are not even to consider any adjustments with their accounts. So, they take our taxpayer monies and this is how we are treated??? I really needed to vent about this, especially after two BOA executives stayed at my inn a few weeks ago, and of course they asked for a discount and I gave it to them, it's just good business, but let's just say, I will never do that again, nor will I ever entertain the thought of booking a BOA exec at my place again. All they care about is themselves. I just had to vent about this. Because I know they are going to call after the holidays and say they can't keep that payment the same and I am going to have to sacrifice... I don't know what to do, they are the only issue I have. And, beleieve me, there is more of how I was treated wrong that I can't put in here. It goes back at least 4 years!
