CashNet500
Major rip-off! Dishonest, rude, fraudulent billing!

I got a loan from CashNet500 in 2003 and recently started receiving threatening phone calls. They are telling me that I owe them $900 on a $350 loan. I made payments of approximately $350 and they informed me that because I was late on a payment that I owe $900.

For awhile they were trying to take money from my account which caused me to be NSF and that resulted in fees. I now owe my credit union money. When I told them that I was making payments they told me that I was only paying back on the principle and not the actual loan. I also told them that the customer service representive told me that I could make payments on the loan. All was a lie.

I have been receiving an enormous amount of phone calls from CashNet500 demanding a full payment of $900 or they would come to my home or job and serve me with judgement papers threatening to take me to court. They also told me that I needed to make a payment in a week to two week period of $500. I explained to them that I don't receive that kind of money living from paycheck to paycheck, that's why I borrowed money and they didn't seem to care.

I have gotten very angry with CashNet500 each time they call, at least 3-4 times a day. When I express anger they retaliate telling me I have the nerve to be angry when they are trying to help me. I refuse to give them any more money. I feel as though I paid my debt and should have to pay more. One representative, Rachel Mills, told me that it wasn't my fault that the company didn't tell me I couldn't make payments and I was only paying the principle. Also, she told me that their job is to not tell people about making payment or paying the principle because that's how they get their money from people paying back only on the principle or those being late on their payments.

Yes! I should have read the fine lines but when you are in need and the opportunity for help is there then you overlook the fine lines. It doesn't mean they should take advantage of a needy person. My only fear is having a judgement on my head or credit report.
