My financial planner died a few months ago. The company (Keybase Financial Group) assigned a new planner - Olli Reinikka. I left the company shortly afterwards.
When I received my cheque, it was a few hundred dollars of the listed price I had seen a few days earlier. "Administrative costs" I was told. I have yet to find any such clause in my contract. Not only that, they miswrote my name on the cheque.
I was asked to get some forms in Japan to prove that the bank account they were sending the money to was in fact mine. They cost $50. The cheque did not need to be addressed to a bank account. Even the company admitted so later.
I asked Mr. Reinikka to send me a money order to replace the miswritten cheque. They sent it but charged me for the delivery. I have heard nothing but immature and unprofessional comments.
