Complaint / Review
First National Card - AKA CCS Credit Service Division
First National Card AKA CCS Credit Service Division SCAM

I received the First National Card by CCS Credit Service Division in the mail on August 7. (I did not request it.) The address it came from was CCS Credit Service Division PO Box 17800, Las Vegas, NV 89114, with a pre-paid postage stamp. I would like to make a complaint against this company.

The company gave me an allowance of $6,500 credit limit, with the catch that I have to use the credit card within the company, or I would be charged 25% interest on any outside purchases. And, if "I were to call that day to activate the card, they would waive the $200 activation fee (by giving a $200 credit on the first purchase of over $500). Plus, another $100 credit with any purchase over $200 to offset the standard $99 activation fee."

The only number available to call was the activation number (1-800-717-1278, or 1-702-256-3000). I called that number to have my name removed from the mailing list, and to ensure my card was NOT activated. I spoke to a girl (she and all of the representatives sounded no older than 16 or so). I did not get her name, as she spoke too fast. I told her that I wanted to be removed from the mailing list, and NOT to activate my card. She wanted the card number, and the 4- digit security code. I reluctantly gave her the card number after arguing with her that all she needed was my name and address, but did not give her the 4-digit number. She then wanted to get into a yelling match, and hung up on me.

I called back, and spoke to a different person, while hearing the first representative in the background, assuming that I called back, and called me a B$%@* and was bragging about hanging up on me. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and the representative I was currently on the phone with told me that they did not have a supervisor that worked there, and wanted my authorization code, and told me that without that number, they could not do anything. I would NOT give any other information other than my name and address. I told her a number of times to just take me off of the mailing list. She then got as aggravated as the last representative, and said that she was transferring me to someone else. I then told that representative that the last two people I had talked to were extremely unprofessional, and I just wanted to be taken off of the mailing list. She then wanted to get into a yelling match, and I told her I was reporting her to the Better Business Bureau. She said that "She didn't care, and to go a head". I asked for her name again, and she said, "Why, what's your name???!!!" "I just work here!"

She gave me two numbers to call: (1-800-731-0121, and 1-888-884-0221). Both numbers were bad. I called back, and another representative gave me another number of: 1-800-279-6989, and that was a bad number, as well. I called back, and a young man told me to call their no solicit number (1-888-884-0017) to be taken off of the mailing list. That number was bad, as well. I then called back, and spoke to another girl there, mentioned the division name and number, and she said that there is no such division there or phone number. She told me that I would have to give her my card number and authorization number for her to do anything. I didn't buy that at all.

I want to ensure that this company has not activated the card they sent me, and that they cannot do anything to affect my credit, as well as inform other consumers of this fraudulent company. I have reported this incident to the Nevada Business Bureau Serving Southern Nevada, State Attorney General of Colorado, and a trouble shooter in Colorado, as well.

I looked this company up on Nevada's Better Business Bureau Website, and found this:
